Poem Series: Experimental Poetry Forms: Five Couplets: The Catfish Swim

The catfish swim out in the lake,
they swim as soon as they do wake,

they swim by reeds,
and near lake weeds.

The catfish swim but are not hake,
and as they swim they never take,

a breath of air one time,
nor to the shore they climb.

Their swimming deeds,
are for their needs.
