A photograph to inspire poetry: Lightly colored fungus

Lightly colored fungus

This is a photograph of a lightly colored fungus.  It is called a “lightly colored fungus” because there was a previous photograph to inspire poetry called fungus on this blog.  This one, therefore, needed some sort of distinction.

Some poetry ideas that can come from this photograph are poems about:

  • Fungus
  • The idea of distinction
  • Rain or dew
  • Decay
  • Umbrellas

P.S. As a note, there has recently been an update to the Posts List page of this blog.  The update was to add some more functionality.  At the top of the page, years are shown with months below them.  To find the posts from a certain month, simply click that month under the related year.  So, for example, to find posts from March 2015, simply click the “March” that is under the “2015”.  This will take you down the page to posts from March 2015.  At that point, to go back to the top of the page, simply click “Top” next to the March month heading.  Please go see the page and try it out.
